An exciting opportunity exists for a Registered Nurse to provide a comprehensive, holistic nursing service to families and their children on the Sunshine Coast. These services are provided from five (5) Community Health Centres, which include Gympie, Noosa, Maroochydore, Caloundra and Nambour as well as outreach centres, this opportunity will be based in our Gympie Community Health Centre. The main tenet of the service is to support families and their children through the continuum from pre- natal through to the early years.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
• Holding a current, recognised Immunisation certificate and practise in accordance with local policy in relation to the Vaccination schedule, Cold Chain process and the National Immunisation Program would be highly regarded.
• Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Sunshine Coast Health Values.

Salary rates: $41.73 - $53.53 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Permanent Part-Time positions available, hours negotiable) Applications will remain current for 12 months.
