Clinical Nurse - Patient Experience


Various locations across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS)

An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse- Patient Experience to work collaboratively with key stakeholders in the health service in identifying and implementing strategies for consumer feedback to improve the patient experience. The CN Patient Experience coordinates responses to complex complaints received from consumers, including referral / notification to other units where necessary. The role provides clinical advice, consulting with senior clinicians were required and drafting responses to the consumer. The Safety, Quality and Improvement Unit (SQIU) supports an integrated approach in meeting Sunshine Coast Health’s Safe Care (Clinical Governance) agenda. The SQIU provides expertise and support; and works in collaboration with the Executive, Directorates and Facilities in the delivery of safe, high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver high level patient experience knowledge and skills to oversee the patient experience and complaint management functions critical to ensuring that the provision of healthcare is responsive to the preferences, needs and values of each patient.
  • Apply expertise in health system service delivery, professional knowledge, education and training, partnership and collaboration, and excellent interpersonal abilities to enhance the patient experience across Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) and act as a reference point for clinicians and consumers.
  • Demonstrate clinical service delivery knowledge, skills, and leadership across multi- specialty clinical areas to effectively manage complex complaints to contribute to effective patient experience and outcome management across SCH.
  • Actively participate in patient experience and feedback management strategies across SCH in the pursuit of excellence in delivering patient experience outcomes.

Remuneration value up to $10 991 p.m., comprising salary between $4138.10 - $4431.10 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Fixed-Term Temporary Full-Time position for up to six months).
