An exciting opportunity exists for an Enrolled Nurse to join the Mental Health Casual Nursing Pool and provide person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Standard of Practice: Enrolled Nurse. This position provides a unique opportunity to utilise your mental health specific clinical expertise, demonstrate excellence in nursing care, while contributing to the future development of the Mental Health nursing within Mental Health and Specialised Service (MHSS). In addition, this role will work under the supervision of the Registered and Clinical Nurses as per the scope of practice of the Enrolled Nurse.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 3 and the Queensland Public Service values.
  • The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, Mental Health and Specialised Service, (SCHHS-MHSS) operates within an integrated model of care that provides a range of mental health services across community and hospital settings.
  • Continuity of care and the promotion of patient safety and quality are paramount and informed by evidence-based practice consistent with national, state and local mental health policies and directions.
  • The underpinning principles and commitment of the SCHHS-MHSS include the provision of services which are person centred and recovery oriented with the aim of assisting individuals with mental illness to realise their optimal potential as individuals and as valued citizens of the community.

Salary rates: $44.18 - $46.89 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (EN(Nurse Grade 3)) (Casual positions available).Applications will remain current for 12 months.  Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
