An opportunity exists for an Advanced Recreational Officer who be required to plan, implement, and evaluate recreation services within the Sunshine Coast Health and to contribute to the optimal health status and rehabilitation of an individual, by providing recreation services to that individual, as a member of the health care team. The Recreation Officer program is offered across a 7-day roster.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Assess and interpret the client's functioning and leisure concepts, reporting findings to the health care team.
- Provide both individualised and group recreation opportunities.
- Encourage client's independence and confidence in their own abilities, promoting long term goals including community access and resources.
- Work cooperatively and effectively through active participation in multidisciplinary teams and with patients/clients, their families, carers, and other relevant stakeholders to provide high quality patient care and positively influence culture.
Remuneration value up to $78 158 p.a., comprising salary rates $38.36 - $41.02p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (part time position, 64 hrs p.f.). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered).
