An exciting opportunity exists for a Social Worker - Senior, within the Child and Development Service Department. This position will deliver high level social work clinical services and leadership across one or more specific work units, to stakeholders/customers of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health (SCHHS).
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver independent high level social work clinical practice in the field of developmental paediatrics with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision, including involvement with direct assessment of children who present with moderate to severe developmental delay. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
- Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
- Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced social work practitioners and students as delegated.
- Take a leadership role in the monitoring of professional clinical standards and outcomes, service improvement activities, Performance and Development Plans (PDP), quality activities, evidence-based practice, clinical research programs.
Remuneration value up to $157 359 p.a., comprising salary between $128 169 - $137 918 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4).
