An exciting opportunity exists for a Pharmacist Pre Registration. The position will provide high level pharmaceutical services to the patients of Sunshine Coast Health in accordance with their needs and the policies and priorities of the health service, and will ensure the safe, effective, judicious use of medicines across the continuum of care, whilst remaining compliant with relevant regulatory statues and promoting the efficient use of public resources.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Pharmacist Pre Registration. The position will provide high level pharmaceutical services to the patients of Sunshine Coast Health in accordance with their needs and the policies and priorities of the health service, and will ensure the safe, effective, judicious use of medicines across the continuum of care, whilst remaining compliant with relevant regulatory statues and promoting the efficient use of public resources.

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the delivery of clinical pharmacy services, working within a learning environment.
  • Dispense patients' prescriptions, ensuring effective and appropriate medications are provided for patients.
  • Participate in professional projects within the department which may include completing a practice research project e.g. drug use evaluation or performance of safety audits.
  • Maintain and distribute pharmacy inventory in accordance with Queensland Health and local Hospital and Health Service policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.

Remuneration value up to $132 567 p.a., comprising salary between $79 051 - $116 189 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (temporary position available for 12 months).
