The Health Practitioner-Trainee performs a range of clinical support activities and ‘on the job' skills development while engaged in formal full-time/Part-time tertiary studies necessary to acquire the relevant entry level qualification (mandatory) for employment as a Health Practitioner in Queensland. With relevant supervision, the Health Practitioner-Trainee deliver clinical services within the agreed scope of the role and experience as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Successfully complete (pass or better) all academic and practical requirements of your tertiary study while employed as a Health Practitioner-Trainee.
- Work within a scope of practice that is commensurate with the level of knowledge and skill development of current tertiary studies (i.e. those skills previously assessed by supervisor as being competent).
- Perform a defined range of clinical assessment and treatment tasks within the scope of practice as delegated by the supervising allied health professional/Health Practitioner.
- Initiate changes to treatment programs under the supervision of the allied health professional/Health Practitioner using results from standardised assessments, decision support tools, clinical pathways and/or patient guidelines.
Salary rates: $38.69 - $45.51 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) (HP1) (Several casual positions available). Applications will remain current for 12 months.
