As a highly functioning multidisciplinary team member, you will contribute to total patient management by providing advanced clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of an Allied Health Professional (AHP). Contribute to the efficient operation of the nutrition and dietetic service by undertaking other non-treatment activities as required, including supporting and mentoring less experienced nutrition assistants.   The Senior Nutrition Assistant workforce work together to deliver nutrition assistant services across all facilities of SCHHS.   

Key Responsibilities include:

• The role of Nutrition Assistant Senior is a delegated position which usually works under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional. Nutrition Assistants report to their supervising dietitian on an ongoing basis and the dietitian remains responsible for clinical decision making, treatment planning and evaluation.
• Manage the Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) data, including invoicing and related quality improvement activities.
• Provide a defined range of specialised clinical screening assessments for patients with complex needs, as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.

Remuneration value up to $74,250 p.a., comprising salary rates $38.36 - $41.02 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (CA4) (part time position, 60.8 hrs p.f.).
