The Youth Early Psychosis (YEP) community team provides mental health treatment and interventions to young people aged 12-25 years (and their families and carers), who are suspected of experiencing their first episode of psychosis, and would likely benefit from intensive/specialist, multidisciplinary MHAOD clinical assessment and care for a time frame of up to two years. The Clinical Nurse will provide support to the multidisciplinary team in delivering high level mental health care to the YEP target population and support the team in offering expertise to the broader Mental Health and Specialised Service.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- The CN will provide mental health assessment and clinical interventions for the target population and support the MDT to provide contemporary evidence-based care. They will offer case management to young people engaged within YEP team.
- The CN will contribute to the YEP MDT through their knowledge and skills in working with young people experiencing early psychosis. They will provide support and assistance in the management of complex consumers and workloads.
- The CN will have substantial experience in assessment, treatment and care of young people with a diagnosis of a mental illness.
Remuneration value up to $105 520 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (Part-Time position, 60.8 hrs p.f.).
