The Sonographer Advanced in the Emergency Department (SEED) will be a key member of the Emergency Department Ultrasound Team, and will assist in providing high level focused, medical imaging at the bedside.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Foster a culture of ongoing professional development for staff by collaborating with the CLUS (FACEM Clinical Lead in Ultrasound) to identify, initiate, develop, and participate in POCUS clinical education programs within the emergency department and across the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and support Emergency Senior Medical Officers, Registrars, and Senior Nursing Staff in performing bedside ultrasound for procedural and diagnostic purposes.
- Advocate and monitor for the safe and effective use of bedside ultrasound in the emergency department.
- Lead change through quality and service improvement activities, including auditing, implementation and creation of Emergency Department clinical practices, workplace instructions and guidelines.
Remuneration value up to $36,340 p.a., comprising salary rates: $73.12 - $76.30 p.h. employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP5) (Permanent Part-time position, 16 hrs p.f.)
