Permanent part-time position, 64 hrs p.f.

Remuneration up $322,712 p.a.

We are looking for an exceptional Medical Practitioner to lead our BreastScreen team as Medical Director.

A Fellowship of the Australasian Society of Breast Physicians (FASBP) is desirable but not essential.

BreastScreen Queensland is part of the National BreastScreen Australia program, providing access to free screening and assessment, to eligible women every two years. It aims to achieve significant reductions in mortality and morbidity from breast cancer by actively recruiting and screening women aged from 40 years of age, with a target age group being 50-74 years for early detection of the disease. The program is available to women throughout the Sunshine Coast.

In addition to your clinical and professional expertise, you must have skills in managing people, leadership and sustainable financial decision accountability.

As a Sunshine Coast Health employee your salary includes:

  • Base salary comprising of between:
    • $87.25 - $114.27 p.h. (L13 – L23)
    • $117.05 – $120.51 p.h. (L24 – L25)
  • Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
    • $21,000 p.a. (L13 - L24)
    • $25,500 p.a. (L25)
  • Clinical Managers Allowance $16,828 p.a (pro rata for Part-time)
  • Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 35% of base salary
  • Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)
  • Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • Annual leave loading

The Sunshine Coast is known for its beautiful beaches, hinterland scenery and subtropical climate. The Health Service is located across the Sunshine Coast region, with five hospital campuses including Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) serving a population around 500,000 people.

Sunshine Coast Health (SCH) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. We care for our communities through Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital, Maleny Soldier's Memorial Hospital, and Caloundra Health Service which includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. We also provide care at a number of community and mental health sites, as well as Glenbrook Residential Aged Care.
