An exciting opportunity exists for a Clinical Nurse to join our Acute Services Unit. The Clinical Nurse (CN) is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. The Acute Services Unit is a 26-bed mixed medical and surgical unit. The primary role of the unit is to provide timely, accessible and appropriate adult inpatient health services using evidence based best practice care to patients with acute illness or injury, and short stay post-surgical care.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

• Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces and manage all information in accordance with legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.

Remuneration value up to $55 536 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (part time position, 32 hrs p.f.).
