2 Permanent full time positions available, 80hr p.f (part-time hrs neg.)
Remuneration up to $447 016 p.a.
- Position 1 - General Gastroenterologist. Capsule endoscopy accreditation is highly desirable.
- Position 2 - Gastroenterologist with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) training. Intestinal Ultrasound accreditation is highly desirable.
As a Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service employee your salary includes:
- Base salary comprising of between:
- $100.77 - $117.05 p.h. (p/t) or $8,062.00 - $9,364.50 p.f (f/t) - Staff Specialist L18 – L24
- $120.51 - $127.77 p.h. (p/t) or $9,641.00 - $10,221.70 p.f (f/t) - Senior Staff Specialist L25 – L27
- Motor vehicle allowance (pro rata for Part-time)
- $21,000 p.a. - Staff Specialist L18 – L24
- $25,500 p.a. - Senior Staff Specialist L25 – L27
- Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
- Overtime and on-call allowances (paid by exception)
- Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a. (pro rata for Part-time)
- Generous superannuation of up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- Annual leave loading

The Sunshine Coast is known for its beautiful beaches, hinterland scenery and subtropical climate. The Health Service is located across the Sunshine Coast region, with five hospital campuses including Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) serving a population around 500,000 people.
Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. We care for our communities through Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Gympie Hospital, Maleny Soldier's Memorial Hospital, and Caloundra Health Service which includes a Minor Injury and Illness Clinic. We also provide care at a number of community and mental health sites, as well as Glenbrook Residential Aged Care.
These consultant positions join a growing Gastroenterology and Hepatology department within Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service, providing high quality Gastroenterology services for our community, with a focus on leading safe care, driving quality improvement and innovation, and collaboratively contributing to department growth and development within a multidisciplinary team.
