The Registered Nurse (RN) leads and delivers person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. Roles within this level consolidate comprehensive educational preparation as the nurse moves from novice to proficient practitioner and exercises greater levels of autonomy and professional judgement in the clinical setting.
AODS multidisciplinary team provides contemporary clinical service for people experiencing substance use problems in a harm minimisation framework. Services provided are Intake and Referral, Consultancy and advice, Opioid Treatment, including Medication-Assisted Treatment of Opioid Dependence, Counselling and Therapy, Needle and Syringe Program.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
- Have knowledge or ability to gain knowledge about National Drug Strategy and its application in alcohol and other drug treatment.
- Contribute to positive client outcomes by providing comprehensive alcohol and other drug assessment, planning and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with the client and/or their family and the inter-disciplinary team that supports the harm reduction strategy.
- Actively participate in activities to achieve unit performance indicators and meet relevant standards.
Remuneration value up to $60 553 p.a., comprising salary rates $41.73 - $53.53 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (NGR5) (2x Permanent Part-Time position, 38 hrs p.f.).
