We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our Virtual Acute Care Service (VACS) based at Caloundra Health Service. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to an evolving service model that delivers innovative virtual care and surveillance, supporting patients who might otherwise re-present to Emergency Departments or deteriorate in the community. As CNC, you will provide advanced clinical leadership, expert consultancy, and direct and indirect care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will lead in shaping safe, person-centred care, apply evidence-based practice, and support workforce development. This permanent, full-time role offers the chance to influence patient outcomes while working across Sunshine Coast Health facilities as required.

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Provide advanced clinical leadership and consultancy to support safe, evidence-based, person-centred care across the Virtual Acute Care Service.

• Deliver and coordinate direct and indirect patient care via telehealth and virtual monitoring, ensuring positive outcomes and reducing avoidable emergency presentations.

• Lead, mentor and support nursing and multidisciplinary staff, fostering a culture of learning, professional development, and continuous quality improvement.

• Drive service innovation and clinical governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards, policies, and emerging best practice in virtual models of care.

Remuneration value up to $164 212 p.a., comprising salary between $132 562 to 143 924 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7).
