Registered Nurse - Child Health
Various locations, across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Services.
Make a real difference in the lives of families and children by joining our Child Health Services team as a Registered Nurse. Based at Gympie Community Health Centre, you’ll deliver holistic, family-centred care across the continuum from pre-natal through to early years, with opportunities to work across other Sunshine Coast Health sites. In this Nurse Grade 5 role, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing services, coordinate care with peers and health professionals, and support families through education, health promotion and referrals. We’re seeking a dedicated professional with current AHPRA registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health who is passionate about person-centred care, professional growth, and contributing to safe, high-quality health outcomes for our diverse community.

Key Responsibilities include:

Deliver person-centred care – assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for children and families across the continuum, from pre-natal to early years.

Support safe and quality practice – adhere to NSQHS Standards, SCH Safe Care Framework, and maintain compliance with professional, ethical and legislative requirements.

Collaborate and lead in practice – coordinate care with peers, health professionals, and community services, while providing guidance, delegation and mentoring to team members.

Promote health and education – provide health promotion, education and immunisation services, and contribute to continuous improvement, research and evidence-based practice.
Salary rates: $41.73 - $53.53 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (temporary part time position available for upto six months, hours negotiable).
