An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Officer for the Communication & Referral Centre.
Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

The Administration Officer will provide a high level of confidential administrative support for patient, clinician and General Practitioner queries received via telecommunications and written communications in relation to outpatient care. This position is a prime point of contact for internal communication on a daily basis and externally with various departments and agencies. This position operates with a high degree of independence in performing the duties of the position whilst maintaining open channels of communication.
The Communication & Referral Centre aims to provide governance, accountability and management of outpatient referrals and communications to ensure consistency across the patient care continuum. These services work closely together with the ACC team to ensure the provision of collaborative integrated outpatient care.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Effectively communicate with staff, patients and stakeholders, demonstrating understanding, empathy, patience and a positive attitude.
- Exercise judgement and discretion in undertaking various tasks whilst being responsible for the quality of work undertaken, by managing workloads appropriately; prioritising tasks and ensuring work is completed within designated timeframes.
- Provide high quality confidential administration support to the team.
Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $97,656 p.a., comprising salary rates: $38.81- $36.82 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3) (Fixed term temporary part time positions available for three months, various hours).
