Allied Health Services are represented by a range of professional disciplines and provides a diverse range of services across the care continuum. Allied Health provides emergency, acute, sub-acute and chronic care in inpatient and outpatient departments. The Administration Officers in Allied Health Outpatients provide a high level of customer service to our patients and clinicians, whilst performing administration functions associated with referral entry, waitlist management, scheduling of appointments, cancellation management and more.  This position values individuals that are motivated to work as a team member, with a focus towards ensuring the patient remains at the centre of our clinics.   

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north. Sunshine Coast Health is a values-based organisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Build relationships with customers, by using strong communication and negotiation skills to understand customer's needs, including in-person and telephone enquiries relevant to the activities of the clinic that meets their needs and adhering to policy guidelines and ensuring confidentiality is maintained as per the Code of Conduct.
  • Exercise judgement when necessary to solve immediate problems in situations where precedents have not been set and procedures not defined.
  • To ensure prospective patients have been placed on a respective waiting list within the timeframes indicated on referral form using Administrative Scheduling expertise.
  • Proficiently complete functions associated with the wait listing of patients, bookings for appointments, managing appointment cancellations, rescheduling and removals from the waiting list by using the relevant information systems in a timely manner.

Remuneration based pro rata on equivalent full time value up to $97 656 p.a., comprising salary rates: $38.81 - $43.16 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO3) (multiple part-time positions available).
