Clinical Nurse Manager - Ear, Nose & Throat

We are seeking a dynamic Clinical Nurse Manager (Nurse Grade 7) to lead the ENT service at Sunshine Coast University Hospital. In this senior role, you will provide clinical and operational leadership, supporting the Medical Director to deliver high quality, person-centred care. Key responsibilities include overseeing elective and emergency surgical waitlists, ensuring theatre and outpatient KPIs are met, and aligning service delivery with best practice policies and guidelines. You will manage rostering and allocation of staff, monitor models of care and patient outcomes, and act as the point of contact for clinical escalations. This is an exciting opportunity to apply advanced ENT knowledge, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary environment within Surgery and Critical Care.

Key Responsibilities include:

Provide clinical and operational leadership to the ENT service, supporting the Medical Director and nursing teams.

Oversee elective and emergency surgical waitlists and ensure theatre and outpatient KPIs (treat in time/turn, LOS, throughput) are achieved.

Manage staffing and resources, including rostering, allocation, and ensuring efficient use of labour and non-labour resources.

Maintain and improve models of care and service delivery, ensuring compliance with best practice policies, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
Remuneration value up to $164 212 p.a., comprising salary between $132 353 - $143 924 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 7) (temporary position available for 12 months). Applications will remain current for 12 months / the duration of the vacancy.
