We are looking for ACEM and ACRRM trainees who are passionate about delivering excellent emergency medical care and motivated to immerse themselves within our established training network, to maximise their training potential.

Special interest opportunities exist for trainees to engage specialties including;

  • Internationally recognised Geriatric Emergency Department initiative
  • Residential Aged Care Support Service (RASS)
  • ICU and Anaesthetics
  • LifeFlight
  • Ultrasound Registrar and Simulation Registrar

We offer protected teaching time to attend our dedicated Trainee program, catering to trainees of all stages of ACEM training. Exam specific education sessions to help trainees prepare for their exams, including mock exam opportunities.

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the training of junior medical staff.
  • Provide patient care in accordance with the ethics and standards of the medical profession.
  • Carry out nonclinical activities relevant to emergency medicine as directed by the Director of Emergency Medicine.

Salary rates: $4,966.90 - $6,980.10 p.f., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (L4 - L9, L10 - L13) (Hours negotiable up to 76 hrs p.f.) for up to 12 months. Applications will remain current for  the duration of the vacancy. Applications may be used to appoint to similar vacancies for a period up to 12 months after the closing date of the initial vacancy.
