The Psychology service works with patients, families and clinical staff to identify and manage emotional, psychological, or behavioural factors that may be impacting on a patient's well-being or engagement with treatment and self-management.  

Sunshine Coast Health is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Deliver independent high level Psychology clinical practice with infrequent need for direct clinical practice supervision. Exercise professional judgement to a complex caseload, adapting routine clinical practice based on valid and reliable evidence.
• Provide high level clinical advice, education and influence towards a common patient-centred vision and direction to professional operational teams and relevant stakeholders regarding service delivery.
• Provide leadership oversight and clinical practice supervision to less experienced Psychology practitioners and students as delegated.
• Communicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to influence the culture towards a common, patient-centred vision and direction.

Remuneration value up to $78 679 p.a, comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., (part time, 38 hrs p.f.) and Remuneration value up to $62 943 p.a., comprising salary rates $54.44 - $58.30 p.h., (part time, 30.4 hrs p.f.), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (One Permanent Part time position, 38 hrs p.f. – Specialist Palliative Care Service and One Permanent Part time position, 30.4 hrs p.f.  – Across other specialist clinical areas within the AH-SDM).
