Administrative Officer - Eagleby Learning Centre - Centre for Continuing Secondary Education

Eagleby Learning Centre are seeking applications for an Administrative Officer to join their educational community on a temporary part-time basis, at 0.83 FTE and 60 hours per fortnight, until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

As an Administrative Officer your role will include a combination of administrative activities and operations which require skills and experience in administrative/clerical work and a general knowledge of systems within a school. You will be required to achieve clearly defined and established outcomes and/or basic problem solving within guidelines.

About the Role

Responsibilities include:

  • performing under close supervision and may involve undertaking a range of duties requiring judgement, liaison and communication within a team and with other interested parties.
  • resolving problems with the use of basic judgement, usually related to precedents, guidelines, procedures, regulations and instructions from senior staff. It may require some knowledge and application of specific procedures, instructions, regulations or other requirements relating to general administration and activities.

About You

Capabilities include:

  • knowledge in relation to Department of Education guidelines, instructions and procedures relevant to the function of an AO2 level.
  • experience with the computer based functions of educational administration and relationships between organisational elements as required.
  • the ability to problem-solve using established procedures.
  • written and numeric skills, admin skills, written and verbal communication, equipment skills and other work skills appropriate to an education setting.
