Teacher Aide - Eagleby Learning Centre - Centre for Continuing Secondary Education

Eagleby Learning Centre - Centre for Continuing Secondary Education are seeking applications for three (3) Teacher Aides on a temporary part-time basis, until 12 December 2025, unless otherwise determined.

The following positions are available:

  • 1 position - Eagleby Learning Centre 0.53 FTE;
  • 1 position - Helensvale Learning Centre 0.53 FTE;
  • 1 position - Varsity Learning Centre 0.53FTE.
We are looking for keen Teacher Aides to work with our dedicated teachers to improve student outcomes. Hours can be negotiable with successful applicants.

About Eagleby Learning Centre - Centre for Continuing Secondary Education

South East Region's Learning Centres is an Education Queensland facility that is committed to meeting the education needs of the community. The Centre offers the opportunity for people in the Eagleby/Beenleigh, Varsity Lakes, Helensvale and surrounding areas to undertake a range of education and training programs. The Centre offers quality programs at convenient times throughout the week and our friendly staff are interested in helping you to achieve your goal.

We offer a calm, quiet and flexible learning environment that delivers Queensland Education approved programs and nationally accredited Certificate courses to both school age and mature aged students.

About the Role

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher
  • Working with small groups as well as individual students
  • Communicating effectively and displaying high level of interpersonal skills to function as an effective team member
  • Displaying respect and empathy for students
  • Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitivity to students and their families
  • You may also be called upon to:
  • Assist with the management and stocktaking of equipment and resources
  • Undertake clerical assistance duties including typing teachers' notes and programs, photocopying teaching materials, collation and duplication of exam papers, recording of examination results, compiling students' results records
  • Assist in preparing, storing, distributing and clearing away teaching equipment and materials
  • Contribute to the welfare, health and safety of students, including the delivery of first aid
