The State Schools Nursing Service provides clinical assistance to build school staff's capacity to safely support students with health needs to attend and participate at school and realise their full potential. The position requires the provision of health assessment, health plan development, relevant training, ongoing
supervision and support of school staff.
If you have a varied clinical experience, enjoy a challenge and working with children and schools, this is the job for you. The positions are based in the Beenleigh and Logan area although further opportunities may become available across South East Region. This is a temporary position until 12 December 2025 unless otherwise determined.

About the Role:
The team/s clinical nurse works may consist of the principal, therapists, registered nurses and school staff.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
- Develop individual and emergency health plans to support students in education settings
- Consult stakeholders to enhance professional decision making and nursing practices
- Maintain and build safe, quality, effective nursing professional networks
- Form partnerships with other health professionals to improve collaborative practice
- Analyse policies, procedures, legislation, codes and standards to continuously improve service delivery
- Provide High level consultation and ensure students, parents/carers, and staff are part of the decision making at every stage
- Actively participate in professional development and reflective practice across a multi-disciplinary sector that values your contribution
