About the Role
A school Marketing Officer wears many hats, focusing daily on promoting the school to both current and potential families and partners. This involves actively seeking out and managing marketing opportunities, from organising visits to maintaining crucial marketing data.
A key part of the role is strategic communication and event management. You'll work closely with the Principal to implement improved marketing practices, overseeing everything from the school magazine and newsletters to the events schedule and securing sponsorships. You'll also take the lead in organising school events and creating promotional materials, ensuring all communications align with the school's positive image. This includes drafting, editing, and publishing a variety of documents, brochures, and digital content.
Beyond promotion, the role also involves financial oversight and relationship building. You'll manage the marketing budget, monitor expenditure, and even identify new income streams. Building and maintaining strong relationships with staff, employers, and industry partners is crucial for enhancing the school's standing and fostering productive collaborations. Additionally, you'll ensure all marketing resources and equipment are properly managed and maintained according to guidelines. Finally, you'll contribute to the development of digital marketing standards and ensure all online content, including the intranet and internet, is accurate and up-to-date.
