Essential to have:
* Proven track record in Design and Technology Instruction
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons on industrial design concepts, techniques, and methodologies.
* Adaptability to cater to students' diverse learning needs, ensuring an inclusive educational experience.
* Proficiency in utilising state-of-the-art Design and Technology facilities.
* Proficiency in the use of timber and metal materials, tools and processes.
* Experience with CAD, CAM, 3D printing, laser cutting, CNC, waterjet cutting and other advanced technologies.
* Encouragement of students to explore and experiment with various materials, fostering creativity and sustainability.
* Facilitation of project-based learning experiences, promoting collaboration and real-world design problem-solving.
The Teacher in Design and Technology Innovation will be an innovative educator responsible for delivering engaging and relevant learning experiences within the Technologies Department. They will teach and guide students, foster their interests, and help them explore career and further study pathways in technology-related fields. The teacher will stay updated with advancements in learning and teaching and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and technology into their classroom practices. As part of the role, they will work collaboratively with the Leader of Learning and Curriculum and other teaching staff to enhance the department's offerings and achieve the best possible learning outcomes for all students.

- Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration, as a teacher in Queensland. - Employment for pre-service/graduate teachers will be subject to the successful completion of a relevant teaching qualification and meeting the minimum requirements as a teacher with the department.
