About the Role

The Head of Department - Curriculum at Robina State High School plays a pivotal role in leading curriculum improvement and alignment with the Australian Curriculum Version 9. This position drives professional learning, collegial engagement, and the effective implementation of QLearn across the school. The role contributes to delivering the vision of the State Schools Division by enhancing teaching and learning practices, building teacher capability, and improving student outcomes through strategic leadership. It also involves fostering strong, supportive relationships among students, staff, and the wider school community, making a meaningful impact on the school's culture of success.

Your Responsibilities 

As the Head of Department - Curriculum, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  •  Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
