About The Role
Marsden State High School is seeking a passionate and driven Administration Officer to join the Careers team. In this role, you will support a range of corporate services including human resources, finance, and facilities, while assisting with work experience placements, compliance monitoring, and organising pathway events such as expos and university experiences. The ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented, and experienced in data management, with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, staff, parents, and external partners, contributing to the success of a dynamic school community.
Your Responsibilities
As the Administration Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Monitor and track work experience placements, ensuring students meet necessary compliance and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Assist with the organisation pathway events, including work experience, expos and university experiences
- Update pathways program to maintain current enrolments and students intended pathways.
- Support the Careers team, senior schooling HOD and VET HOD in organising industry related events such as job expos, pathways workshops and industry events
- The ideal candidate will be highly organised and able to manage multiple events, timelines, and logistics. They will have strong attention to detail to ensure students meet all compliance and safety requirements. Experience with data management is important, including keeping enrolment records up to date and tracking student pathways. A good understanding of school-based programs like work experience, VET, and university transitions is essential. The candidate should have great communication skills, feel confident working with students, staff, parents, and external partners, and be a strong team player, especially when working with the Careers, Senior Schooling, and VET teams.
