About The Role  

The Head of Department, Student Services will:

  • Focus on initiatives to support the educational outcomes for students.
  • Incorporate the vision of Early Childhood and State Schools Division into school planning.
  • Develop the quality of teaching and learning.
  • Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and community.

The Head of Department is accountable to and under the direction of the school Principal or delegate. 

Your Responsibilities 

As the Head of Department - Student Services, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:  

  • Lead and manage the Student Services team and administrative support.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of student well-being, safeguarding, behaviour, and attendance.
  • Work closely with SLT, year co-ordinators, and external agencies to ensure inclusive and effective support for our students.
  • Monitor and analyse data on student attendance, engagement, and behaviour.
  • Promote a culture of care, inclusion, and high expectations throughout the school community.
  • Support access to mentoring or mental health support for vulnerable students.
