Marsden State School is seeking a friendly, organised Administration Officer to support our busy school office. Be the first point of contact for families and staff, help keep things running smoothly and make a real difference in our school community!
This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.69FTE), 50 hours per fortnight.

Who We Are:
Marsden State School is a vibrant public primary school located in Logan City, catering to students from Prep to Year 6. At Marsden State School, we are lucky to have an onsite Community Hub to support collaboration and engagement with all members of the community. The Community Hub is designed to deliver a range of education and training courses, health services and language support for vulnerable families. We believe that successful transitions to school are derived from respectful and trusting partnerships between the children, parents and educators. Through these partnerships we can create a sense of belonging and set the foundation for future schooling success.

Create a welcoming environment
- Work with staff and community members to ensure a welcoming environment
- Interact positively with all parents, children, colleagues and community members
Family liaison
- Be the first point of contact to assist families with their enquiries
- Support parents to participate in hub, school and community activities
- Link parents to information, programs and services where applicable and assist with referrals as required
- Advocate family needs/issues to the local community partnership group and school/community centre
Coordinate activities
- Organise activities, programs or events in response to family needs, interests and program outcomes
- Promote early years hub and broader community activities
- Collaborate with internal staff and external agencies to deliver co-located and coordinated services
- Participate in evaluation activities as required
Establish and facilitate local community partnership group
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with community members, services, funding agencies and local early years networks
- Lead collaborative planning by the local community partnership group to respond effectively to the needs of families
