As Head of Department, you will provide strategic leadership across the faculty to ensure high-quality teaching and learning outcomes for all students.

The Perfect Fit:

  • Proven success in improving student outcomes through high-impact teaching practices.
  • Experience leading curriculum planning and delivery within a faculty/department or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong instructional leadership capability, including the ability to model, coach and develop teacher practice.
  • Deep understanding of assessment, moderation, and data-informed decision making.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and embedding socially just practices.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive staff, student and community relationships.
  • Understanding of departmental legislation, policy, compliance and safety obligations.
  • Capacity to manage resources (people, time, budget, facilities) effectively to meet departmental goals.
