A temporary opportunity exists for an outstanding, strategic Head of Department (Curriculum), with oversight of Information Technology infrastructure and Resource Centre management, for Term 1, 2026.

This role requires a highly flexible and independent leader with strong relational leadership capabilities.

The successful applicant will demonstrate expertise in change management, effective communication, and the ability to lead in a dynamic and evolving educational context.

As an instructional leader, the Head of Department will focus on building high-performing teacher teams who are effective problem-solvers, demonstrate agile decision-making, and are confident in thoughtful risk-taking.

A key priority of the role is leading the development and implementation of artificial intelligence integration practices and strengthening school-wide data literacy to support improved teaching and learning outcomes.

The role also carries operational responsibility for managing school IT systems during NAPLAN testing and overseeing student Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) systems to ensure reliability, compliance, and minimal disruption to teaching and learning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Set high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
