As the Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming school environment by delivering high-quality cleaning services. You will ensure all duties are completed to a high standard in line with the school’s cleaning program, supporting the day-to-day operations of the site.

This position is being offered in a Permanent Part-Time capacity (0.68FTE), 51.5 hours per fortnight.

About the School:

Coomera Rivers State School is a large primary school on the Gold Coast, educating students from Prep to Year 6 in a positive and supportive learning environment. The school focuses on high‑quality teaching, student wellbeing and inclusive community engagement to help all students achieve their potential.

Coomera Rivers State School is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) school. Our facilities are managed via an external company.

About the Role:

The successful applicant will be a supportive team player, have excellent communication skills and ready to work closely with our great cleaning team.

Split shift cleaning position at Coomera Rivers State School. This position will require working 5 morning shifts Monday to Friday plus 2 afternoon shifts (negotiable days).

Responsibilities include:

  • Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
  • Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
  • Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
  • Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
  • Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
