Your Opportunity
The Pedagogy Coach will focus on leading explicit instruction to enhance student engagement, supporting teachers in creating learning environments where students are actively involved and develop a sense of ownership and responsibility.
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
- Lead and coordinate the coaching and mentoring of staff members, developing collegiality, building a learning and development culture, modelling innovative teaching styles and encouraging appropriate professional development
- Be responsible for utilising evidence-based practices to optimise learning outcomes, making explicit teaching a priority in educational settings for improving student learning and engagement
- Assist supporting professional learning, providing targeted coaching, and mentoring to enhance teaching practices, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across classrooms
- Drive school-wide improvement by leading pedagogical reform, mentoring staff, and modelling high-quality teaching strategies
- Work collaboratively with teachers to enhance literacy, numeracy, and curriculum delivery, using evidence-based practices and data to improve student outcomes
- Assume a lead role within the school leadership team with the development and implementation of strategies relating to targets
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to lead, and model pedagogical reform and/or development activities at a school or cluster level that will result in improved targeted outcomes
- Demonstrated capacity to develop and sustain strong interpersonal relationships and establish productive partnerships fundamental to coaching and the delivery of professional development activities
- Proven capacity to lead strategies to maximise student achievement through a coaching model with staff
