We are seeking a 0.2FTE Head of Special Education Services to join the team on Tuesdays.

This position will share the Head of Special Education Services with another 0.8FTE existing colleague.

Lead and inspire inclusive education practices and support student success in a caring and collaborative school community.

Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • To lead, guide and support inclusive education practices across the school, including oversight and management of a team of inclusion teachers and teacher aides.
  • Provide high quality advice to the school leadership team, classroom teachers and other school staff to develop, plan and implement effective reasonable adjustments for students with disability.
  • Coordinate and provide intensive targeted teaching for students requiring intervention.
  • Provide, support and/or coordinate case management for students who require extensive or substantial adjustments.

The Perfect Fit:

  • Must have: An understanding of and experience in inclusion, which may have been built in a role as an inclusion teacher or similar position.
  • Prepared to work as part of a collaborative leadership team to drive the school's improvement agenda.
  • Nice to have: Previous experience and success working in a Head of Special Education Services role and line managing a team.
