South-East Region Learning Centres is seeking a proactive and reliable Computer Assistant to support the routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ICT equipment across a multi-campus environment.

Working alongside the Technical Officer, this role plays an important part in ensuring technology systems operate efficiently to support teaching and learning.

Who Are We:

South East Region Learning Centres are DoE Centres that operate over 3 campuses that includes Eagleby, Helensvale and Varsity.

We engage students from the ages of 15 years onwards to complete their QCE or Certificates as an alternate option to mainstream schooling. This is a fast-tracked program, enrolling students every term and requires the ability to function efficiently.

As part of your role, you would be required to work across all campuses to maintain and support staff and students with technical assistance.

You will be reporting to the Technical Officer as your Line Manager. Our environment is established on our STARTS philosophy that embraces a second-chance learning environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to staff and students
  • Undertake maintenance and routine repairs of all computers and associated equipment
  • Assist in installation of new equipment and software
  • Order parts and computer stocks and maintain equipment records
  • And other associated tasks assigned by the Technical Officer

The Perfect Fit:

  • Orange card School Administrator (OC SA) or the ability to gain this Certification• Current Blue Card and current Criminal History Check
  • Good technical knowledge and problem-solving ability
  • Good communication skills
  • Be able to work as part of a team and autonomously
