We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic Cleaners to join our team at our beautiful school. As a Cleaner at Coomera State Special School, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.

We are offering 2 positions. 1 permanent full time role of 76 hours per fortnight and 1 permanent part time role of 40 hours per fortnight.

About the Role:

As a Cleaner at Coomera State Special School, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals who take pride in their work, demonstrate initiative, and contribute positively to the school community.

The successful applicant/s will be engaged in single or split shifts. Start and finish times may vary between 4:00am and 6:00pm. Where a split shift arrangement is required, a split shift allowance will be paid for each applicable day worked.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful applicant/s will have responsibility for:

  • Cleaning windows, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glass doors, and cupboards.
  • Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and the sick bay.
  • Cleaning and maintaining cleaning equipment.
  • Cobweb and mildew control using extendable equipment as required.
  • Cleaning and hosing concrete, bitumen, and paved surfaces.
  • Dusting student and office furniture, equipment, and fans.
  • Floor maintenance including sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, and polishing.
  • Undertaking other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Leadership Team.
  • Activating and disarming school security systems as required.
  • Liaising with the Business Manager regarding the purchase and replacement of cleaning materials.
