Marsden State High School is seeking a highly organised, proactive Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator to lead and strengthen our safety culture across a vibrant and fast‑growing school community.

In this pivotal role, you will work closely with school leaders and staff to drive best‑practice WHS systems, ensure compliance, and champion initiatives that support the wellbeing of more than 3,500 students and 300 staff.

About the role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide clear, timely and confidential advice to school leadership and staff on health, safety and wellbeing.
  • Work collaboratively with regional and corporate teams to strengthen local practices and ensure compliance with the HSWMS.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, emergency preparedness, ensuring corrective actions and hazard controls are effectively implemented at nominated school/s.
  • Support ill or injured staff through early intervention, maintaining regular contact, and coordinating rehabilitation and return to work processes.
