About the Role

As Head of Department (Curriculum), you will provide instructional leadership to strengthen curriculum implementation, teaching practice and student outcomes across the school, supporting the Brighter Futures priorities of educational achievement and belonging and engagement at Cedar Creek State School.

You will:

  • Lead curriculum planning, implementation and review to improve learning outcomes for all students.
  • Set and maintain high expectations for student and staff performance across curriculum areas.
  • Embed inclusive and socially just practices in everyday teaching and learning, ensuring equitable opportunities for all learners.
  • Build staff capability through coaching, mentoring and collaborative professional learning.
  • Use data and evidence to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and sustain positive partnerships with students, families, agencies and the wider community.
  • Work in a future-focused and strategic way to support school improvement priorities.
  • Operate within relevant legislation, departmental policies and frameworks impacting students, staff and school operations.
  • Contribute to the effective management of curriculum-related resources to support program delivery and school goals.
