South East Region is seeking a highly skilled teacher with a passion for supporting teachers and school leaders, to embrace assistive technology to foster access to a quality education for all learners. The contract period is five months, with the possibility of extension.

Your opportunity
As the Advisory Visiting Teacher Assistive Technology, you will be responsible for leading the development of staff capability in the area of assistive technology to support quality differentiated teaching practice across schools in the South East Region. You will be working alongside the SER Principal Advisor Inclusion, within the region's Student Services team.

Your role

  • Plan and facilitate professional learning sessions for school staff
  • Provide coaching for teachers and school leaders to implement assistive technologies to support students to access curriculum
  • Provide expert knowledge and guidance around curriculum adjustments and planning aligned to the K-12 Framework
  • Model the use of assistive technology with students
  • Work collaboratively alongside regional staff including therapists

  • In addition to registration, teachers working in Education and Care Services (including State Delivered Kindergarten programs) require an exemption card issued by Blue Card Services.For more information on blue cards and exemption cards, please CLICK HERE
