We are seeking a dedicated and student-focused Guidance Officer to support the academic, social, emotional, and behavioural wellbeing of students within our secondary school community.

The successful applicant will work collaboratively with students, families, teachers, school leaders, and external agencies to promote positive educational outcomes and student engagement.

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people by helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their personal and educational goals.

  • Providing counselling and guidance services, conducting assessments
  • Supporting students with learning and wellbeing needs
  • Contributing to case management processes and assisting schools to implement inclusive practices.
  • The Guidance Officer will also play a key role in supporting student career planning, attendance improvement, and intervention strategies for students at risk.

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in educational or psychological assessments
  • Commitment to fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments.
  • Registration and qualifications relevant to guidance and counselling services are essential.
