Southport State High School have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Deputy Principal (Inclusion) to join the team on a Thursday and Friday.
The Deputy Principal (Inclusion) will oversee the Inclusion Department and support and be responsible for overseeing daily supervisions on a rotational basis.

The Special Education Program at Southport State High School provides inclusive, personalised support for students from Years 7-12 with diverse learning needs.
Working alongside experienced staff, the program focuses on building independence, confidence and academic success, ensuring every student is supported to achieve their personal best in a caring and inclusive school community.

This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.4FTE), 20 hours per fortnight.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Principal to lead the school community through the school special education program (SEP) or early childhood development program (ECDP) to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Deputise for the Principal when required.
- Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
