The Role:

Keebra Park State High School is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Youth Support Worker (Identified) to join our team working within our new MIBUNN: Soaring for Success, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander in-school student support program. In partnership with Ganbina, as a Youth Support Worker at Keebra, you will play a crucial role in providing assistance, guidance, and support to students from diverse backgrounds, with a focus on Indigenous youth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people and contribute to their personal and academic development. Full training and ongoing professional development will be provided by Ganbina, Australia's most successful Indigenous school to work transition program.

You'll Bring:

• Demonstrated experience working with young people, particularly Indigenous youth, in a supportive capacity.
• Understanding of the social, emotional, and cultural needs of Indigenous students, with a commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with students, families, and community members.
• Knowledge of relevant support services, agencies, and resources available to young people and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with flexibility, empathy, and resilience.
• Maintain accurate records, report writing and data entry requirements in line with professional standards.
• Relevant qualifications in youth work, social work, education, or a related field are desirable.
