Step Into Your Next Chapter:

  • Lead the implementation of the Australian Curriculum v9.0 and QCARF across Years 5-6, ensuring alignment of curriculum, assessment and reporting through evidence-informed teaching, moderation, collaborative planning and data-driven improvement.
  • Build teacher capability through instructional coaching, mentoring and professional learning to strengthen consistent, high-quality pedagogical practices and improve student achievement.
  • Assist the Principal in leading school improvement priorities, strategic planning and change initiatives, fostering a culture of high expectations, equity, inclusion and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyse student achievement and wellbeing data to inform targeted intervention, extension, differentiation and support for students with diverse learning and wellbeing needs.
  • Lead student wellbeing, engagement and behaviour initiatives, promoting inclusive practices that maximise participation, success and positive outcomes for all students.
  • Coordinate the Year 6 transition to secondary school by building partnerships with local high schools, leading transition planning, orientation activities, parent engagement and support for students requiring additional planning.
  • Design and lead the Year 5 Aspiring Leaders Program, developing leadership capability through mentoring, student voice, authentic leadership opportunities and community engagement.
  • Lead the Yugumbir JETS program, fostering leadership, cultural pride, educational engagement and aspirations for future learning and career pathways.
  • Build strong partnerships with students, staff, families, secondary schools and community stakeholders while modelling ethical leadership aligned with the Queensland Department of Education's values and expectations.
  • Demonstrate strong instructional leadership, curriculum expertise, data literacy, organisational skills, effective communication, strategic planning and a commitment to equity, excellence and continuous professional learning.
