Expressions of Interest are invited for the Temporary Relieving Pool - Principal (Primary), Levels 3-7 in the South East Region.

The pool will be used to fill short-term relieving Principal vacancies of up to six months that arise in South East Region primary schools during 2026.

This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months.

About us:

The Department of Education's South East Region supports state schools across Logan, the Gold Coast and surrounding communities.  

Your opportunity:

  • Access short-term relieving Principal opportunities (Levels 3-7) across a diverse range of primary school communities and settings in the South East Region.
  • Provide leadership during temporary Principal vacancies arising throughout 2026, with backfill arrangements of up to six months.
  • Support teaching and learning, school improvement and positive outcomes for students and school communities.
  • Gain leadership experience across a range of primary school settings within the region.
  • Backfill arrangements extending beyond six months will be subject to a new recruitment process.
