We are seeking an experienced educator with curriculum and pedagogical leadership experience to build and implement a dynamic IDT program for years 7 and 8 at our new secondary school.

The successful applicant will be required to develop a robust, engaging and quality IDT program that meets the needs of the students in the local community.

In addition, you will be tasked with the promotion of the teaching of Reading as an essential skill for students to be successful in IDT.

About us:

As a new school we are expecting approximately 440 to 660 year 7 and 8 students in 2027 and then growing rapidly each year towards 2400 students.  

As the school grows each year, you will be required to ensure that students are able to transition to senior secondary pathways of choice and be "Ready for the Future".  

Your opportunity:

Highly developed interpersonal skills will be essential in building the capacity of subject coordinators and other staff.

Responsibilities include:

  • You will be required to work collaboratively with local primary schools to build on any existing practices, cater for the needs of adolescent learners and ensure that the transition from primary school to secondary school is as seamless as possible and that the outcomes as described in "On Track for Success" are achieved.  
  • You will be responsible for the foundation ways of working in the workshops which includes the establishment of sound workplace health and safety practices for all students and staff.  
  • You will be responsible for the selection of a variety of nonfixed machinery, tools and materials.
