Beenleigh State High School is seeking an experienced and committed Deputy Principal to join its leadership team and contribute to a school community with strong traditions across academic, cultural, sporting and agricultural pursuits.

Your opportunity:

As Deputy Principal - Junior Secondary, you will play a key role in providing strategic and instructional leadership across the school, working collaboratively with the Principal, leadership team, staff, students, families and community partners to deliver quality educational outcomes.

You will assist the Principal to develop and articulate a shared educational vision, set high expectations for student and staff performance, and foster a culture that values care, responsibility and achievement. You will also deputise for the Principal when required and uphold the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral leadership role.

A key focus of the position will be strengthening partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry and business to support positive outcomes for students. You will bring a futures-focused and strategic approach, identifying opportunities to improve educational outcomes and ensure students are well prepared for their next steps beyond school.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong understanding of the legislation, policies and practices that underpin contemporary schooling and will be committed to embedding socially just practices across daily school life. You will also contribute to effective resource management, ensuring people, programs and resources are aligned to the school's priorities and strategic goals.
