Join State Library of Queensland's Schools Engagement team and connect schools with the stories, history, and collections held at Anzac Square Memorial Galleries and Parklands. In this unique role, you will develop and deliver curriculum-aligned programs, resources and learning experiences that bring Queensland's wartime history to life.
Working closely with the Anzac Square team, you will engage students and teachers through excursions, workshops and digital experiences exploring stories of service, sacrifice and remembrance.
We're seeking an educator or learning program facilitator who can build strong relationships, communicate effectively and deliver quality outcomes across competing priorities.
Knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and experience engaging learners with history is highly regarded.

State Library of Queensland is seeking an AO5 Program Officer to join the Schools Engagement team, supporting engagement with Queensland's Anzac Square Memorial Galleries and Parklands.
In this unique role, you will develop curriculum-aligned programs, resources and learning experiences that connect students and teachers with Queensland's wartime history. Through onsite, online and digital delivery, you will help bring State Library collections and stories to life for schools across Queensland.
Working closely with the Anzac Square Memorial Galleries team, you will support teachers and students to explore stories of service, sacrifice and remembrance. From school excursions and workshops to digital resources and virtual experiences, your work will help make Queensland's pre-eminent war memorial a meaningful and engaging learning destination for young people.
We're looking for someone with experience in learning program delivery or resource creation, along with strong communication, stakeholder engagement and organisational skills. An understanding of the Australian Curriculum and experience connecting learners with history will be highly regarded.
This fixed-term opportunity to February 2031 offers the chance to work with significant historical collections and stories, collaborate with educators across Queensland, and make a meaningful impact on how students learn about Queensland's wartime history and commemorative heritage.
While there are no mandatory requirements for this role relevant qualifications or experience in teaching or a related field would be highly regarded.
A working with children/Blue Card check will be required for this position as it has been identified as having child-related duties. Teachers holding current teacher registration can apply for an exemption card.
