System Policy Branch is seeking your interest in joining a suitability pool for future short-term and relieving opportunities as a Manager within System Policy Branch. Successful applicants will be assessed for suitability for roles as they arise across System Policy’s portfolio responsibilities, including aged care, Disability and the NDIS, statutory appointments, justice and legislation. As a Manager, you will lead a team responsible for identifying and analysing critical and emergent strategic policy issues within a defined policy portfolio and will contribute to the priority areas of work to enable Queensland Health to efficiently and effectively discharge its system manager functions.

As a Manager, you will provide timely and well-researched strategic policy advice to senior management in Queensland Health and to the Minister for Health in relation to Queensland Health's position at a whole-of-government level. You will establish and maintain networks with internal and external stakeholders, including with experts in relevant policy areas to obtain accurate and timely advice and guidance regarding the development and implementation of policy. Additionally, you will provide expert level qualitative and quantitative advice and direction to Queensland Health divisions, state-wide clinical networks, Hospital and Health Services and other stakeholders and ensure is consistent with Queensland Health and government priorities and policies.
