What you'll do
- Contribute to key projects relating to the governance of health statutory agencies, including statutory board appointment processes.
- Apply your analytical skills to complex problems and contribute to innovative strategies for their resolution.
- Contribute to process improvement activities.
- Prepare timely, high-quality reports, submissions, briefing notes and correspondence.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated organisational skills including the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and set priorities to achieve results within tight deadlines in a fast paced and high-pressure environment.
- Have strong written and oral communication skills and have a demonstrated ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Have proven ability to work autonomously and as a team member.
The ability to interpret and apply legislation and policy in a complex setting is highly regarded.
About us
The Office of Health Statutory Agencies (OHSA) provides strategic advice and support to the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services, and the Director-General, in relation to statutory agencies that sit within the health portfolio for which the Minister is responsible to the Queensland Parliament and the community. OHSA delivers critical functions relating to the governance of statutory agencies by:
- Managing nomination and appointment processes to health statutory agencies.
- Providing advice relating to governance and legislation.
- Driving engagement with and between the Department, other Queensland Government agencies and health statutory agencies.
- Ensuring compliance with key legislative and policy obligations.
